Libraries and one stop shops consultation events
Message regarding the upcoming consultation events for the libraries and One Stop Shops. The consultation is running from 1st April for 10 weeks and a number of events are being held. More information regarding the consultation can be found on the Cornwall Council website. The link to this information is: Public drop-in session for people who would like to know more about the review and be involved, Torpoint Library and one stop shop is on Friday 8 May 10am - 12 noon and 1pm - 4pm.

Enforcement Officer
Torpoint Town Council employee Ian Baard has recently completed Fixed Penalty Notice Training run by Cornwall Council. As dog fouling and litter enforcement officer for the town he will be undertaking regular patrols in the area. Please look out for him, his picture is here. Read full report

Introduction to the Torpoint Neighbourhood Plan
The Plan is your opportunity to have a say on future developments, services and land use in the town. Various meetings will be held, the first is at Torpoint Council Chambers, York Road: Saturday 14 March 2015 presentations at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm followed by question and answer sessions. Torpoint Ferry Report Jan 2015
Since the last council report the following Torpoint Ferry weekly efficiencies have been achieved: w/c 15 Dec – 99.6% efficient – 6 crossings lost (delivery of main chain) w/c 22 Dec – 100% efficient – 0 crossings lost w/c 29 Dec – 100% efficient - 0 crossings lost w/c 5 Jan – 100% efficient – 0 crossings lost Target is 99%. Average since last report - 99.9%. Average during last rolling 12 month period - 99.5%

Disabled Off Street Parking Consultation

First bus service changes from 4 January 2015 in Torpoint
Local bus operator First are introducing a new service in January 2015, that has been created especially for Derriford Hospital workers living in and around Torpoint. Workers from Torpoint to catch the Service 81 from Torpoint and then change on the Plymouth side of the ferry onto Service 81D which will take them directly to the hospital for a 08.00 start. There are then two return journeys at 16.15 and 17.15 to cover most workers’ finishing times. The trip leaving Great Park at 06.32 will run 10 minutes later.
