Biography

Having lived and raised my family in Torpoint over the past 34 years I felt a need several years ago to give something back to the community that I and my wife Maureen had made home. My many years working in the retail sector, helped enable me to have the emotional and empathy skills needed when having to communicate with the general public. The pinnacle of my council career to date, was the honour of town mayor for the civic years 2016-2017 and 2018-2019. This privilege bestowed upon me by my fellow councillors was one that cannot be underestimated and will stay with me for ever! My thoughts to anyone wishing to join the town council would be, everyone can contribute to a better society however small, be bold and brave.
