To all Torpoint Organisations requiring a grant towards their projects
Torpoint Town Council has been awarded from the Caradon Community Improvement Fund £10,620
A Public Meeting will be held Tuesday 7th October 2008 at the Council Chambers, York Road, Torpoint at 7.30pm
Each interested organisation can put their views forward. The Councillors would then take it to their next meeting to decide to whom to award the funding
If for some reason an organisation cannot attend on Tuesday 7 th October to give their views on why the funding is required, a letter/application would also be taken into consideration on the evening.
Caradon requires Torpoint Town Council’s bid in by the 1st November 2008, so all bids must be in by 7 th October
One criteria which Caradon District Council imposes for use of the grant is that the project must be started early next year.
Hire Of The Council Chambers
The Mayors Parlour, the Committee Room and Main Hall, with use of the kitchen or bar, are available for hire by Individuals, organisations and businesses. The Mayors Parlour
A comfortable room that can seat up to 12 people. It can be laid out to suit your requirements. It can used for formal board room style meetings, training sessions, meetings of up to 12 people seated in rows, or completely informal for small parties and other functions.
The Mayors Parlour is in a self-contained area with its own entrance, foyer, toilets and access to the kitchen.
The room can be accessed by the disabled lift.
The Committee Room
The Committee Room is a room suitable for meetings of up to 80 people standing or 45 seated. It can be used in conjunction with the bar area access to the Committee Room is via the York Road entrance and is suitable for disabled.
The Main Hall
The main hall has a licence to facilitate up to 200 people standing and 120 seated. There is a stage and access to both the kitchen, Mayors Parlour, Committee Room and the bar. There is disabled access and a hearing loop.
We have a cloakroom and the usual conveniences including those for the disabled
Kitchen
There is a kitchen, having access to the Main Hall, Committee Room and Mayors Parlour. The Kitchen has a large gas cooker, fridge/ freezer, microwave, water urn & sink. this room can be accessed from the Committee Room
Bar
There is also a bar area adjacent to the Committee room which can be used for functions in the Main Hall, Committee Room & Mayors Parlour.
Children's Parties
Th e Committee Hall is ideal for children's parties.
The hall has plenty of space for a disco.
