Torpoint Town Council 2008-2009
Meetings
Town Council meets on the third Thursday of each month (with the exception of August) at 7pm in the Council Committee Room.
Forward Planning Committee meets on the 1st Thursday of each month (with the exception of August and January) at 7pm in the Mayors Parlour, 1, Buller Road.
Finance and General Purposes Committee meets on the Monday of the week preceeding the Forward Planning Committee (with the exception of August and January) at 7.30pm in the Council Committee Room, 4, York Road.
Council and Committee meetings are open to the public and additionally members of the public can address members after the Council meeting on the third Thursday.
If anyone has a lengthy question it is helpful if it is submitted in writing to The Town Clerk or a Councillor a week before the meeting in order to have all relevant information to hand at the meeting.
The Annual Meeting of the Council takes place in May and it is our Mayor Choosing Ceremony. The meeting is again held on the third Thursday of the month and this also includes the annual meeting in an election year that usually co-incides with the normal Council meeting cycle.
Copies of the Minutes can be obtained from The Library and will be eventually available on this website.
All agendas for meetings are displayed in the council noticeboards at The Council Chambers, The Library and Cost Cutters,
